Guided Tours of the imagined reconstruction of the Ihlow Monastery
Tours can be booked throughout the year.
The basic tour gives a general insight into the history, architecture and spirituality of the monastery.
The tour progresses through the imagined reconstruction of the monastery and leads to the Room of Traces.  Here in the spiritual heart of the monastery is an exhibition tracing the archeological dig, the history of East Friesian monasteries and Silence Rooms for spiritual meditation.   Guests can get a lasting impression of the history and heritage of the Cistercian monks.

Tours take place one Sunday per month from spring to autumn.
Meeting place:  The adjoining café at 3.30 pm.
Price: 30 Euros per group of up to ten people.
Groups of eleven people or more:  3.00 Euros per person plus 1 Euro per person to climb the tower.
Children: 1 Euro.
Families: Maximum 5 Euros.

Opening times:  Ihlow Monastery is open throughout the year.  The café is open on Tuesdays to Saturdays at 2pm to 5pm and Sundays from 11am to 6pm.  

During this time the Room of Archeological Traces and the observation deck on the tower is open.
